Customer Review: 2nd machine - works fine

We purchased our 2nd machine, the "silver" one, after reading these reviews. I had been waiting for them to be available again after the recall... We had one of the recalled models, and have continued to use it (but making sure to descale), so when I saw the reviews, I was hesitant about getting another one.... I am one of those people who can taste plastic in peanut butter that's marketed in plastic jars, etc., so I figured this would be a problem. But I decided to try it anyway. The machine is identical to the recalled machine in every way that I can see without disassembling it. We were even able to do a side-by-side test, and compare the coffee, and if anything, the new machine's coffee was "foamier" than the old machine, and was as hot as could be expected.... The pod carriers are the same, the funnel it sits in is the same.... And no, it's not actually "chrome".... I hadn't expected that it would be.... Maybe some units were being stored before shipping in a place that was hot, or for some reason the plastic started breaking down.... ?? I like the features of this machine because it allows you to control the quantity and strength of the coffee.... I'd buy it again... oh - wait - I just did! :)
